Hospital Facilities
- Hospital chaplain
- A hospital chaplain of your selected denomination will visit you if you wish. Just ask a nurse, who will pass on your request. Religious services for various denominations are held in the hospital chapel.
-
- PALS Volunteers
- We currently have 42 'Pals Vols' who are available to:
- chat to any lonely inpatients;
- run errands, such as buying things from the hospital shop, cashing pensions and other benefits; and
- accompany patients home (as long as they do not live too far away), also buying groceries and other essentials along the way, if necessary.
PALS can be reached using the bedside Kerfone and dialling the Freefone number #159. Further information can be obtained from the Volunteer Manager, on 3170.
